There is good news for sun-seeking Brits in Northern Ireland, as easyJet has launched a new service from Belfast to Malta.


Malta Car Hire beach holidaysExpanding its route network, the low cost airline is now operating 20 routes from the Northern Irish airport.


Launched yesterday by Malta’s High Commissioner to the UK, His Excellency Joseph Zammit Tabona, the new flight will give people in and around Belfast easier access to the many delights offered in Malta. With a rich history, Malta boasts beautiful architecture, a year-round mild climate, clear blue waters and warm, dry summers.

Paul Simmons, easyJet’s regional general manager said, ‘We’re delighted to be launching this new route to Malta, which is a popular destination for leisure and business travellers, and strengthens easyJet’s existing destinations from Northern Ireland.’

The inaugural flight carried 156 passengers. As a popular holiday destination, Malta is already receiving many tourists from the UK’s other international airports.
