image Budget airline Ryanair has launched a series of free destination guides aimed at people taking flights to Spain and other popular destinations.

The carrier has teamed up with Frommer's Unlimited to create the online publications, with more than 100 available.

Ryanair spokesman Stephen McNamara commented: "With passengers looking to travel to new exciting destinations all the time our free online destination guides will help new and seasoned travellers identify where they want to go next."

He noted that the guides contain up-to-date information on local attractions and deals, as well as airport information, maps, weather data and restaurant recommendations.

In addition, they will be updated regularly, meaning passengers can rely on the content.

Ryanair currently operates flights across 1,100 routes, serving 153 destinations and transporting more than 70 million passengers every year.

Some of the Spanish airports that the airline currently connects with include Murcia, Alicante, Madrid and Barcelona.
